On September 4th, 1937 - Key Underwood buried his very special coon hunting dog Troop in rural Colbert County, Alabama. Soon after, other mourning coon hunters began to bury their passed companions at the exact same spot. Since then, over 300 coon hunting dogs have been buried in this hallowed ground. The dogs must be purebred coon hound, a witness must declare the dog is a coon hound, and a member of the Tennessee Valley Coon Hunters Association must view the remains. This is truly a unique place for the hunting enthusiast and we pay our respects to all hunting hounds gone by with this line of merchandise.
